Himalayan Yoga Trek Retreat Curriculum

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is the grammar of asanas. If you are a yogi, you have to train in this fundamental science of movement, mind, and harmony of energies. Literally meaning the coming together of Ha- the solar and Tha-the lunar element of existence, the Hatha Yoga discipline is much physical as it is spiritual.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is characteristically slow and meditative. The Yin segments assimilate restorative postures set in a contemplatively slow pace to step by step increase the practitioner’s endurance and acute self-awareness. Nestling in the relaxing states of each posture lengthened out while practicing in the soulful environs of the Annapurna Range, you will feel the bliss coming to you like raindrops.

Joints and Glands Yoga

In the pattern of our everyday movement, we miss out on activating many joints and glands effectively in the body. Target asanas aimed towards enhancing specific joints and glands will be introduced in this retreat to help you come alive. The rejuvenating impact of the trek in the Annapurna itself works as an activating factor.

Pranayama

The breath work or Pranayama is the strategic channeling of Prana (or life energy) all throughout the body to feel in tune and full of life drive. Pranayama should ideally be integrative in yoga, present in the observance of each asana and meditation session.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra or Yogic sleep heightens one’s level of awareness while providing a completely restorative effect on the mind and body. Restfulness, better breathing, and circulation are the perks of this practice.

Meditation

Meditation should be a Yogi’s natural state and this becomes true in the silence and solitude of the Himalayan heights. Mantra Chanting, Silence Meditation, Kundalini, and Trataka among others are some techniques we will touch upon.

Laughter Yoga

The technique of performing animated laughter to bring joy is a well-liked method to feel naturally joyful in no time.

Singing Bowl Meditation

Propagating an enhanced awareness, this meditation technique utilizes concentration upon the sound energy and works wonders for collecting a scattered mind.

Learn to be self-sustainable and cook with nature’s ingredients in the Ayurvedic way by attending our cooking classes on the go in the depths of the Himalayas.
